Teeth shifted after braces4/8/2023 I can get the right molars and left molars to touch at the same time but I can tell that my jaw isn't even if I do that. It's just crazy to me because 2 1/2 years ago I could easily close my mouth, even with the crossbite everything fit into place and I could bite stuff with my front teeth (like nail biting for example) and now only 2 teeth on my right side touch. i havent brought it up to my dentist and so i need everyone’s opinion about it. On the day of lower braces removal, I would. the right portion of my upper teeth looks shifted slightly downwards after 2.7 months in braces Question it’s been bothering me because from what i remember prior my braces, it wasn’t like this and it only happened after i started having it. With proper teeth care of brushing and flossing, you will see this diminish within a few days. This occurs during the process of removing the adhesion from your teeth. If you notice your teeth shifting after receiving orthodontic treatment, you need to take action before the problem worsens. After the removal of your braces, it is also normal for your gums to experience some inflammation. Typically, I would leave the last wire on for at least 2 months before removing the braces to allow time for the teeth to be more stable. Shifts in teeth alignment is typically an easy fix. I always had a crossbite on the right side but I was always able to comfortably close my mouth and my front teeth connected but when my wisdom teeth came in that was when my front teeth shifted to the point that I can stick out part of my tongue while biting down, also made the crossbite worse to the point that the teeth no longer fit together. This is perfectly normal as your teeth were being moved into a more esthetic position with braces and the bone was remodeling. While this method of teeth straightening may not fully work. A few months later I went to another dentist who fixed it but afterwards only the molars on my right touched, specifically where my cross bite is. In many cases, a retainer can fix slight shifts of your teeth once your braces have been removed. He tried to fix it a few times but he couldn't get the bite the way it was before he did the filling and said he wasn't comfortable taking any more off. The last time I fully closed my mouth was 2 1/2 years ago right before I got a really bad filling on one of my top left molars which made it so only my left molars touched.
